Had this unit for 8 years

This vaporizer works flawlessly after 8 years of use. Not a single winter flu/cold season has gone by without it. It does require adding salt, especially if you are using the Vick’s vapo steam which gets added to the water. However, follow the care instructions provided and this unit will give safe relief for years to come!!!!

Read directions correctly!

You need to use salt in the CORRECT amounts! If you don't measure correctly, it either will not steam, or will steam too much! Make sure you use the correct amounts. There are directions for a reason. The black stuff will come off if you wash it with a high power sprayer BEFORE it cools off completely, but make sure you unplug it first!
